The brief for this project was to create a series of 3 promotional posters for a chosen branded food or drink item. For my project I chose Barry's Tea. 
I decided to focus on the history and tradition surrounding the brand, as they have been in existence since 1901. I used the tagline, "Since 1901, For Tea It's Always Been Barry's". I wanted to show how Barry's has remained popular through the decades, and is still many people's top choice when it comes to tea (and on a personal note I'd just like to add - they're dead right!) 
Each of the posters represents a different generation within a family; starting with a grandmother, then her daughter, followed by her grandchild. I did this to show the timelessness of the brand, and how it's popularity has endured throughout the years, as well as showing that Barry's Tea is popular amongst people of all ages.
I chose a 1960s inspired style of illustration for the posters, to add to the overall sense of nostalgia I wanted the project to have. I also think this style of illustration adds a sense of fun and playfulness which I really like.
