The brief for this project was to rebrand The Long Valley, a well
known pub in Cork City. This brief was quite challenging as The Long Valley
is well known and well loved by its loyal patrons, and is also very historical and has a huge tradition in the city, so I didn't want to change too much about the brand.

I started by creating a new logo. I wanted to keep it simple and quite similar
to the old logo, so I kept the colours the same, but made the logo more clean
and simple.

The Long Valley is well known for it's infamous sandwiches and I wanted to focus on this for the next part of the rebrand. I came up with the idea of a loyalty scheme called The Long Valley Lunch Club. Members of the club would receive a loyalty card, and would collect a stamp for every sandwich they purchased. Once a total of 20 stamps have been collected they earn in a free sandwich. Promotional items such as a pin could also be created to encourage people to sign up to the scheme.
For the final part of the rebrand I decided to focus on the Hayloft, which is situated
in the upstairs of The Long Valley. The space is sometimes used for events such as poetry readings. I felt more emphasis could be placed on it as an events space. I wanted to give the space it's own identity so I created a separate sub-brand.
