The goal for this project was for students to take personal responsibilty to negoiate and create a well considered image-making project aimed at a clearly identified audi- ence that displays significant image making craft and skill.
For my project I decided to focus on packaging design. I wanted to show how my illustration style could be incorporated into branding and packaging, to further show my range of skills.
I came up with the brand “teabears”. Teabears produce instant tea lattes in many
unique flavours. I thought this would be interesting as there are hundreds of instant coffee drinks on the market, but not many tea based ones outside of tea bags and loose leaf tea.

I then designed a range of characters to be used across the products. I wanted the prod- ucts to look fun, playful and inviting, and i tried to get this across in the character design - the bears look friendly and they each have different accessories which add a humorous and playful feel.
I then applied the characters to the packaging, and chose a bright and playful colour pal- ette to echo the mood and tone of the brand.
